The northbound Western Spur of the New Jersey Turnpike is scheduled to be reduced from three lanes to two this weekend between the southern mixing bowl in Newark and Interchange 15W in Kearny for a stage of bridge deck repairs. Motorists should be aware that traffic impacts in the area could be severe during peak travel times on Saturday and Sunday.
The lane closure will be in place from 9 p.m. Friday, September 8th, through 4 a.m. Monday, September 11th.
