The eastbound Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension of the New Jersey Turnpike will be reduced to one lane this weekend between the Interchange 14C toll plaza and Jersey Avenue in Jersey City. The Columbus Drive off-ramp will also be reduced to a single lane.

The lane closure, which will begin around 5 a.m. Saturday and remain in place until 5 a.m. Monday, will allow construction crews to perform high-priority bridge repairs.

Traffic impacts could be severe, and drivers are urged to check conditions before they travel through the area.
