The eastbound Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension of the New Jersey Turnpike will be reduced to one lane this weekend between Interchange 14B and Columbus Boulevard.
The lane closure, which will begin around 9 p.m. Friday, June 1st, and remain in place until 5 a.m. Monday, June 4th, will allow construction crews to reconstruct the bridge deck and make other miscellaneous repairs.
The Columbus Drive off-ramp will be closed, and motorists will be detoured to Marin Boulevard.
Traffic impacts could be severe, especially between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Drivers are urged to check conditions before they travel through the area.
