The eastbound Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension of the New Jersey Turnpike will be reduced from two lanes to one this weekend for 1.3 miles approaching the Interchange 14C Toll Plaza.

Four of the seven exit lanes at Interchange 14C will be closed during the weekend. The ramp to Communipaw Avenue (Liberty Science Center) will be closed too with traffic detoured to Christopher Columbus Drive.

The closure will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, October 4th, and continue until 5 a.m. on Monday, October 7th. 

The weekend high-intensity construction cycle will allow work to continue on the replacement of the pavement at the Interchange 14C Toll Plaza.
