The eastbound Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension of the New Jersey Turnpike will be reduced from two lanes to one this weekend for 1.3 miles approaching the Interchange 14C Toll Plaza.
Three or four of the seven exit lanes at Interchange 14C will be closed at different points during the weekend. The ramp to Communipaw Avenue (Liberty Science Center) will be closed too with traffic detoured to Interchange 14B and Christopher Columbus Drive.
The closure will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, October 11th, and continue until 5 a.m. on Monday, October 14th.
The weekend high-intensity construction cycle will allow work to continue on the replacement of the pavement at the Interchange 14C Toll Plaza. A similar closing was in place during the weekend of Oct. 4th through 7th.
