Description

Two severely deteriorated waterway bridge piers are being replaced on the structure that carries the Western Spur over the Hackensack River and various ramps. The two piers on this major bridge will be demolished and reconstructed. Under the same construction contract, a severely deteriorated pier on the Vincent R. Casciano Bridge over Newark Bay is being repaired.

Schedule

Construction began November 2023 and is scheduled to be completed in 2027.
